Capturing intimate portraits that tell a story or show emotion is still so important today as it was before smart phones and selfies. They will be something that you can love and see now but more importantly you can look back on them in years to come. Therefore, you need a photographer to help you capture these moments and actually show your real character.
With all of our portrait photoshoots I really try to get to know you first – I want to know your hopes, your dreams, what you love, what you don’t love. Now I am not a stalker but I like to talk to everyone who has booked a photo shoot before the event. I do get asked why I like to do this on a number of occasions. Well, the reason is that when you turn up to the studio (for the first time) or when I turn up to your house (if you want a home visit) then you may be nervous, you may not be able to tell me what you are really looking for and you may not feel relaxed.
I want you to get out of a portrait photoshoot exactly what you want. So you might want to be photographed at home, or outdoors in your garden or you may want a studio photo shoot where we can use dramatic lighting to tell your story. Photography is all about collaboration between the photographer and yourself. If I am just meeting you for the first time on the day of the shoot then I do not know your individual personality and it is then more difficult to show this.
To me, a portrait photoshoot is not just about standing in front of a backdrop and smiling at the camera. It is instead a mixture of styling, clothing choices, props, where and when we shoot and bringing out the emotion. I am very adept at getting my clients to relax in front of the camera and everyone leaves the session feeling that they have had fun. A portrait shoot is not just limited to one person either, you may want to do a couple shoot or you may want something that is a little more active, or you may want your family pet to be the focus. Your portrait photoshoot is therefore completely customisable to you – there is no cookie cutter recipe.
What Happens Next?
My goal is to produce a set of photographs that you love. However, it is more than that – I want you to have a great experience. You get to choose your final images which are retouched to a high standard. These are always in digital format but you may also want some extra images to frame as wall art or even to place in an album. I can organise all of this for you.
Portrait Photo Session – session only £35
This photoshoot is perfect if you are looking for a portrait session for just yourself, a couple, family or even your pet. It is completely customisable. Usually a session takes between 60 to 90 minutes which gives us plenty of time to get the photos you are looking for and gives you the opportunity to have multiple outfit changes. Choose between a home lifestyle shoot or a shoot in our custom studio.
This session can also make a great gift – so ask us about gift certificates.
There is no hard sell when you come to see your images. Instead ordering is easy and you can purchase packs of images starting at £150 for 3 digital images or prints.
To book your session just click the button below and choose your date and time, we do open at times and day to suit you. The session fee is required to be paid on booking to reserve your shoot slot. Please note that on purchasing you can modify your date and time of booking by contacting myself up to 72 hours before your shoot. Cancelling your shoot with less than 72 hours notice I am afraid forfeits the deposit.
